Hi, I’m Tina! Founder and S&C Coach at SCRAM. My passion for sport goes back a long way as an ex-basketball player, where I played competitively both locally and overseas. My career within the sport & fitness industry was pursued through my education and training with a Degree in Sports Science & Management from Loughborough University and Masters degree in Strength and conditioning from Cardiff Metropolitan University. My long term-vision was always to bring back what I had learnt and experienced through my time overseas. Through this vision, SCRAM was established with the idea of creating an environment that allows our local athletes to thrive. Along the years SCRAM has created a community of people welcoming gym enthusiasts as well as introducing those who are unfamiliar, welcoming all with open arms. My athlete portfolio ranges from local sports clubs in basketball, rugby, handball and football to international teams such as the Maltese national basketball team and Ladies Rugby 7’s; as well as individual sport athletes with backgrounds in Tennis, karate, athletics and more. I am also a registered Strength and Conditioning coach for the Maltese Olympic Committee, helping our local athletes in their preparations on their way to international stages. My 3 core values as a coach are commitment, ambition, and determination.

“SCRAM is the place to be for sustainable high performance. I have been coached by Tina and I see how every coach incorporates the science behind high performance in everything they do. The discipline to progressively plan a tailor-made programme based on my sport and my lifestyle is super. I play rugby the Maltese national team and Tina even came down to the field to see how we move and deliver some sessions there too. She took time to scope my intension, explain exercises and observe how they would translate to the field. SCRAM members have built up a community and it’s so nice to train in a space where so many are made to feel welcome. I love it!” – Myra Bonello
